EPL : BRIGHTON vs ARSENAL Football Preview

Brighton will be without their center midfielder Steven Sidwell due to back injury.

Glenn Murray has once again showed why he is the perfect player for the Seagulls up front. The striker, with bags of experience with him, scored two goals last weekend in their win over Swansea. They are now much closer to safety as a result of his hard work and with ten goals this season.

Arsene Wenger is missing left back Nacho Monreal, center midfielder Santi Cazorla, and striker Alexandre Lacazette with injury problems.

Their new striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, thrives on through balls and getting behind defences, but the Gunners tactics have refused to accommodate that so far. This stubbornness is not likely to play too well over time, and it could end in a messy way unless they change their tactics soonest possible.

Arsenal are not in the best of runs right now. They have lost in the EFL Cup,  and they have been drawn against Serie A Giant, AC Milan in the UEL. They may be out of the hunt for trophies altogether now.

Arsenal have not doing well away from home this season at all, and they have looked like just another ordinary team. This is not good enough for a team that spends big money on transfer fees and salaries. Up against a Brighton side that will be bound and determined they will find it quite tough.

Brighton might be in that weird melee to avoid relegation, but they have shown a toughness to them this season along with some ability at times.
Whether it be Knockaert or Izquierdo, they have options that can pop up and punish you. So far, Arsenal’s new weapon, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not looked good.

With Brighton being in the relegation fight, like so many teams, and Arsenal being safe at sixth, you would think the Gunners would be the big favorites to win this match. The Seagulls, who haven’t lost in their last five, could extend their run even further. A Brighton win in this match would not be a real surprise. The Seagulls have a golden opportunity to bring Arsenal down another peg and should get at least a point.
